Paintball

Alot of abandoned buildings are home to teenagers and other locals. This paticular building was completely covered in paintballs. The trespassers even created obsticals and hiding spots in the buildings. This wall had a man made hole punched right through the tile. I would imagine they used this to fire through.

Wonderful shot David! I like it a lot yet have trouble putting it into words or it would take too many of them.
Oswegan :: May 13, 2008 at 04:52 AM
You made me jealous here. This image is awesome. Nuff said.

Fascinating shot. Love the clarity of the remnants of the paintballs as well as that little hole in the wall. Man I want to go paintballing now :/
Anne-Laure :: May 13, 2008 at 06:55 AM
What a great shot!! Good depth of field and framing with that blur door in the background.
The wall is very interesting.

I like those photos without a real typical subject but with a strong atmosphere.

Love the simple composition. A little more paint thrown at it and it would look like a Jackson Pollock painting ;-)

Hi David, thanks for visiting my blog and thanks for your kind comments. It's great since, in turn, I discovered your blog! Your project of shooting abandoned buildings look really interesting with some great images as a result. This image is really cool, it's different and the colours from the paintballs are terrific. I agree it has undertones of a war image.

Feels like someone's about to pop around the corner and nail you with a paintball. Take my word for it, they sting.
