Uneven Quarters

This is a window on the fire escape door in this old hospital. The fire escape itself was barely hanging onto the side of the building. Rust and rotting wood overcame most of this area. This window struck me ,the window pane braces made a complicated set of lines with the background. Shot on ilford XP2 super 400 35mm film.

Really a nice composition

The "stick figures" beyond the window pane are effective and give this image an ominous mood.

The rain, mist and out of focus background give this shot a dramatic mood. Like the window pane in the foreground it enhances this composition, nice job.

Nice composition. I certainly hope when the hospital was in use the fire escape was well attached.

Very good, and it works well with the lines outside and those within the glass. You are a master of lines.

I really like snaps like this. The focus is superb and the B&W makes it a classic snap.

I like all the lines. The lines outside, the wire lines in the glass, and the wooden cross. They all work together. Great tones as well.

This shot feels like a really lonely day.

Love the layering of lines...from the bold window frame, the mesh within the glass and the lines in the background. The rain on the window creates a solemn mood.

Love the mist in the photo.

There's nothing quite like the tones of real black & white film...I love it. This is a good subject for B&W.

The lines in this picture are very well composed, the rain adds to the atmosphere, great B&W, I love it.

I really like the composition of this photo; my eyes keep ending up where I don't expect them to. This also reminds me that my pictures are boring because my sight is sometimes boring, not because my subject is boring.
