Ward 4

Most patient rooms in this ward had a single window and a small sleeping area. This was the top floor so the ceilings where angled to compensate for the roof. Light leaked in through the foggy window that diffused it. I shot this while i was walking towards the exit on a whim with ilford 400 speed B&W film.

I like the darkness of this one. You've got shadow detail all over, but just barely. Very nice!

I like the focal point of the image which seems to be dead on. I also like how the window border points my eye toward the bed. The ilford grain is priceless. I have heard of some very good photoshop plugins that mimic the contrast and grain of several famous types of black and white film. I have yet to try any of them, but I think it would be interesting.

The B&W are wonderful, and so is the composition
Incredible photo made all the more incredible with the processing. Just superb.

Such a sad structure, so well captured. Again, I don't see how anyone survived an illness in this place. I'm glad for medical progress.

The warm light inserted contrary to a damaged wall is very wonderful.
